Each bike is hand built with your name on it and tested for over three hours. This even includes a personal test ride to make sure that everything is working as designed.
Old-World Craftsmanship Meets Modern Technology
Optibike is one of the only electric bicycle companies in the world that owns all of its designs and intellectual property and also builds its own bikes. Every single component of the Optibike was designed to make it the world’s best electric bike.
Our bikes use high-grade mountain bike components such as Fox Racing forks and shox, 14 speed Rohloff speed hubs, and Avid downhill brakes for maximum performance. When the bicycle industry didn’t have what was necessary, we designed, tested, and manufactured our own electric bike components! Multiple patents were issued on these innovative, industry-leading designs.

Inventor Jim Turner
The time I spent designing patented high-precision semiconductor machines, experience as an Electric Vehicles Control Engineer at Ford Motor Company, and Master’s degree from Stanford University all gave me the technical expertise I needed to design and build the Optibike.
While other electric bikes are made by committees and engineers in labs, I actually ride the Optibike to develop it. My rider on the seat feedback is used to modify software codes, adjust suspension, and come up with new designs. When you ride one of our bikes, you’ll experience the attention to detail and years of engineering that’s in every Optibike.
