More power gives you a higher top speed, and lets you climb hills faster.
A bigger battery means you can ride farther, it's like the fuel tank on a car.
More torque lets you start from a dead stop easier, and lets you climb very steep hills.
Some basics on battery capacity and what it means for range.
A battery with more capacity generally means you can go farther on a charge.
However at maximum speed, a more powerful bike will also use more battery capacity per mile traveled.
Knobbier tires can also reduce range due to more rolling resistance on the road, and the terrain you ride on can also heavily affect the range you get.
A note on e-bike range:
There is no standard for E-Bike range like there is from the EPA for Car mileage/MPG, as a result of that an electric bicycle manufacturer can pretty much claim whatever they like for their range and top speed.
Our ranges are based on our actual usage and testing of the bikes, as well as feedback from our customers.
