Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Optibike Products

Thank you for choosing Optibike for your high-performance electric bicycles. These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of Optibike products. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Section 1: General Use Policy
Optibike products are designed for specific usage conditions. It is important that you operate your bike within these guidelines to ensure safety and maintain the longevity of your bike. Riders must adhere to the following:
- Weight Limits: Please review the Intended Use Guide for the weight limit and recommended usage conditions for your specific model.
- Conditions of Use: Optibikes are designed for use on paved roads, moderate off-road terrain, and trails. They are intended for use in rain and shallow water crossings up to 8″ deep. They are not intended for extreme off-road conditions, jumping, or aggressive mountain biking.
- Rider Responsibility: It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they are physically fit to operate the bike and understand the limitations and safety recommendations outlined in the Intended Use Guide.
- Usage outside these guidelines voids warranty, and may result in damage to the bike and injury or death.

Section 2: Build-to-Order Bikes
Optibike build-to-order bikes are custom-made for each customer to ensure the highest quality and personalization.
2.1 Delivery Time
- Delivery Time: Delivery time ranges between 8 to 12 weeks from the date that production begins.
- Delivery timelines may vary based on production scheduling, part availability, and shipping logistics. We will communicate any updates or delays.
2.2 Payment Terms
- Deposit: A deposit of $2,000 USD is required to place your order.
- Pre-Production Payment: 50% of the remaining balance is due before production begins. This payment must be received within 14 days of notification to avoid delays or cancellation.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 1 week prior to shipment.
2.3 Change Requests
- Any change requests made after production begins will incur a $100 fee, as parts for your build may already be ordered or installed.
2.4 Cancellation Policy
- Orders canceled before production begins are eligible for a full refund of the deposit.
- Orders canceled after production begins may incur cancellation fees to cover incurred costs, such as parts or labor. Refunds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
2.5 Storage Fees
- If your bike is completed but not shipped or picked up within 30 days, a storage fee of $50 per month will apply.
- After 6 months of non-payment or non-pickup, Optibike reserves the right to sell the bike to another customer.
- Payments will be refunded, less deposit, applicable storage fees, and administrative charges.
Section 3: Ready-to-Ship Products
Ready-to-ship products, including select electric bikes and accessories, are pre-built and available for immediate purchase.
3.1 Delivery Time
- Delivery time for ready-to-ship products is typically 1 to 2 weeks, depending on your location and shipping carrier availability.
3.2 Payment Terms
- Full payment is required at the time of purchase.
3.3 Cancellation Policy
- Orders for ready-to-ship products may be canceled before the product is shipped for a full refund.
- Once the product has shipped, the return policy outlined in Section 4 applies.
Section 4: General Policies
4.1 Return Policy
4.1.1 Bikes
Optibike stands behind the quality of its bikes and offers a 45-day return window under the following conditions:
- Return Window: Bikes may be returned within 45 days of the delivery date.
- Condition: The bike must be in good condition, showing no signs of misuse, damage, or excessive wear.
- Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- Inspection and Refund: Refunds will be processed once the bike is received and inspected by Optibike. Refunds may be reduced if the bike is found to be damaged or not in good condition.

4.1.2 Parts and Accessories
Parts and accessories may only be returned if they are new and unopened.
- Return Window: Returns must be initiated within 45 days of delivery.
- Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- Inspection and Refund: Refunds will be issued once the item is received and inspected to confirm it is new and unopened.

4.2 Shipping Policy
- Shipping Insurance for Bikes: All bike shipments include a default shipping insurance amount of $500 USD. Additional insurance is available upon request at an extra cost. To add extra coverage, please contact us before your bike is shipped.
- Shipping Insurance for Parts and Accessories: No insurance is included for parts or accessories by default. Customers may request and pay for additional insurance.
- Loss or Damage Liability: Optibike is not liable for loss or damage that occurs during shipping once the product has left our facility.
- In the event of shipping loss or damage, customers must file a claim with Optibike. Optibike will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the claim and assist in reimbursement up to the insured amount.
4.3 Warranty and Liability
All Optibike electric bikes come with a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. Please refer to our Warranty Policy for details. Usage outside the intended use of the bike will void the warranty.
Optibike is not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers, supply chain issues, or unforeseen events beyond our control.
4.4 Customer Responsibility
- Verify your order details, including specifications and address, upon receipt of your order confirmation.
- Ensure timely payments to avoid production or delivery delays.
