Paonia, CO – Optibike inventor Jim Turner is proud to announce that the company has now officially been building custom, handcrafted high performance electric bicycles for 10 years. On a mission to manufacture the best quality E-bikes in America, Optibike sells its products all over the world, so far to people in over 33 countries.

Inventor, President and Founder Jim Turner graduated with an advanced degree from Stanford and initially began working as a Design Engineer for Ford Motor Company. But he needed more of a challenge, and when he learned about the concept of electric bikes he realized that this was an industry that could help change people’s lives for the better.

The product is continually evolving, to the point where the current R15 model has 3.8 times the power of the 2007 model (which incidentally was dubbed “The Ferrari of Electric Bikes” by the New York Times in 2007.)

“We don’t want to be the biggest; we just want to build the best,” explains Turner. “I feel so proud of our success. And many of our customers are now ordering their 4th or 5th Optibike, which tells you a lot about how much people love them!”

Optibike’s product line has expanded a great deal over the last few years. Customers can now choose from a diverse range of bikes depending on the level of power and performance they require.
